From 1968-1969, two of the greatest models Ever! A complete "Army in a Box"! Rat Patrol and Anzio Beach model sets by Aurora 2 Tanks, 2 Jeeps, 24 men and scenery! All for $1.98!! And, Even Better, the Anzio Beach  set! This Time, FOUR tanks, 1 landing craft, 1 jeep, about 40 men, and scenery! And; based on the success of these models, Aurora decided to go ahead and sell the individual tanks, by themselves, fully assembled, for $.25 Each! One hell of a bargain, as the Roco contemporaries went for $.50!

 From 1968-1969! Counterfeit Roco models, sold in a "matchbook" package; original price was something like 45 cents, if I remember correctly! Supposedly "HO" scale (1/87); most of these were actually smaller; 1/90 for the Sherman, and more like 1/100 for the Patton tanks A great, fairly cheap way to flesh out my little soldier army back in the day!
